Digital Cell Morphology - User experiences in
Pathology, Proficiency and Connectivity
Friday, May 10, 2013 | 12:00PM - 1:45PM
Dominion South
CellaVision systems, software and services are rapidly
becoming the new standard in automated digital cell
morphology in thousands of labs around the world. In this
workshop you will learn about the experiences of Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY), University
Health Network (Toronto, ON) and The University of North
Carolina Healthcare System (Chapel Hill, NC), and what
they have been able to achieve in their organizations by
incorporating digital cell morphology into their laboratory
operations.
Program Overview:
•
Use of a new, cloud-based proficiency service for blood
and body fluid morphology, and its impact on the training and
testing of a large staff at Memorial Sloan-Kettering
•
How University Health Network has improved the efficiency
and standardization of differential analysis across multiple
facilities of all sizes, including small labs
•
Preliminary findings from a clinical study conducted at
UNC Healthcare System which asked the question, “Can
the Pathology review of images from the CellaVision DM96
replace the review of the blood film using the glass slide”
•
Memorial Sloan-Kettering also will present on the use
of the CellaVision DM96 in the sub classification of variant
lymphocyte populations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
