MESSAGE - abstract chairs
The abstract/poster chairs, Linda Sandhaus MD, John
Frater MD and Chris Gardiner MD welcome you to
Toronto, Ontario and the 26th ISLH Symposium on
Technological Innovations in Laboratory Hematology.
For this year’s symposium there were 309 abstract
submissions from 46 countries. All abstracts received
careful review by three reviewers, who were selected
from among the program committee. Abstracts were
scored on scientific content, originality and applicability
to the theme of technological innovations in laboratory
hematology. Studies that demonstrate clinical
applications of new technology are encouraged. Oral
presentations were selected from among the highest
scoring abstracts.
This year, 6 abstracts were selected for Berend-
Howen travel awards to investigators from developing
countries and 1 abstract was awarded young
investigator recognition. Congratulations to all of you!
We encourage you to visit the poster sessions and
share your experiences with the investigators. Also,
please join us for the Saturday morning oral abstract
sessions that directly precedes Poster Session I
and later for the plenary abstract session and young
investigator presentation at 4:00 PM.
