th IEEE PHOTOVOLTAIC SPECIALISTS CONFERENCE
TORONTO • CANADA
Dear Colleagues,
The North American Specialized Coagulation
Laboratory Association (NASCOLA) welcomes you
to Toronto for ISLH 2013. NASCOLA is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to the field of specialized
coagulation testing. NASCOLA is dedicated to
enhancing communication and collaboration and it
promotes education through scientific meetings such
as the current ISLH symposium and publications.
We are delighted to be holding our annual meeting in
conjunction with the ISLH and QMP-LS.
It was a pleasure to be involved in planning this stellar
conference. We welcome ISLH attendees to join
NASCOLA at the multiple coagulation sessions in the
ISLH 2013 program, which include plenary sessions
on thrombotic microangiopathies as well as sepsis,
the Berend Houwen Special Plenary lecture to be
given by Dr. Catherine Hayward, the immediate Past
President of NASCOLA, and state-of-the-art updates
on topics ranging from coagulation emergencies, new
anticoagulants and factor inhibitors to von Willebrand
factor, lupus anticoagulants and establishing an
interpretation service for coagulation testing. You can
also enjoy the coagulation breakfast sessions and oral
and poster presentations to get updates on the latest
in coagulation.
We welcome NASCOLA members to join us Friday
night May 10 for our Annual NASCOLA Membership
Dinner meeting.
Non-members who wish to attend
or join please contact [email protected].
I would like to thank the NASCOLA-ISLH Steering
Committee for their ideas in creating the coagulation
program for this conference: Dot Adcock-Funk, Richard
Marlar, William Nichols, and James Zehnder.
Please see our website for more information
and enjoy your time in Toronto!
